SMALL BURNETT
Hardy long-lived perennial evergreen forb. Grows about 18 to 24 in. high with green maple-like leaves. Gets a purple thumb-sized seed head and tastes like mint. Prefers average to rich soils, but will grow in poor droughty soils. Doesn't do well on wet soils.

A preferred food for game animals and game and non-game birds that feed on its' seeds and leaves. Deer, geese, and other wildlife will dig through snow to feed on it.
